Results & timelines
Most clients see their first qualified interviews in 2–3 weeks once the automation is dialed in to their target band. Offers typically land in the 60–90 day window. Outliers exist on both ends — we're honest about which side of the curve you're likely on after the fit call.
The reported average is roughly $58K of additional total comp. Specific outcomes are published on Trustpilot — Jimmy Parrish reported a $30K base increase, others have moved from the $130–150K band into $200–245K. We don't guarantee a number; we guarantee the system that produced those numbers.
No. We work with mid-level through staff/principal across frontend, backend, full-stack, DevOps/SRE, and ML. The threshold is whether $200K+ total comp is realistic for your experience and target geography. If it's not yet, we'll tell you on the fit call.
That's actually the most common starting point. The automation runs 24/7 so volume isn't a function of your free time, and the coaching cadence flexes — full-time job searchers usually move through the playbook 2–3x faster than employed ones.
How the automation works
No. Every application is gated by a job-fit scorer that filters on title, comp band, location, and keyword overlap with your resume before submitting. The dashboard shows you exactly which roles were scored, why they passed or failed, and where each submission landed. You can audit every single application.
We use real browser sessions with human-like timing, your real email, and your real resume — there's nothing on the wire that distinguishes our submissions from your own. The bigger risk is duplicate-applying to a company you've already pursued; the dashboard prevents that with a cross-source dedup layer.
Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, SmartRecruiters, and Workable cover the vast majority of $200K+ engineering roles. We also support custom RSS/Atom/JSON feeds for niche boards (e.g., RubyOnRemote) when a client's target market lives there.
No. The AI Resume Editor adjusts your master resume per role using a structured (not freeform) editing model so the formatting stays clean and ATS-readable. You can review or override every change before it ships.
Working with Jared
Jared is a senior software engineer who's been hired at Stripe, Microsoft, and IBM. He built HiringFunnel after running his own search and realizing the bottleneck wasn't skill — it was volume, positioning, and negotiation. You'll talk to him directly on every coaching call, not a junior "success manager."
Coaching is part of the package — interview prep, story-shaping, comp negotiation, and offer-stacking strategy. It's not an upsell. The whole point is that automation + coaching together convert; either alone underperforms.
Cadence flexes around your search stage. Active interview loops usually mean 1–2x/week; quieter weeks drop to async over Slack. We don't bill by the hour — outcome over clock-time.
Tell us on the fit call. Sometimes the right move is to delay onboarding by a week and just coach the live loop; sometimes it's to ride the loop while we set up automation in parallel. We optimize for the offer in your hand, not for closing you faster.
Pricing, risk & refunds
Pricing is shared on the fit call — it's a function of which package fits your situation (active search vs. passive, with or without intensive negotiation coaching). We don't publish a single price because the cheapest tier is wrong for half of clients and the top tier is overkill for the other half.
Month-to-month. No annual lock-in. We earn renewal every month — if a month goes by where the system isn't producing, you can pause or cancel the same day.
Yes. There's a self-serve cancel button in your dashboard. No retention call, no winback friction. We'd rather you leave clean than stay frustrated.
We do not refund consumed coaching hours or applications already submitted. We do credit unused time on a prorated basis when a cancellation overlaps a billing cycle. Specific edge cases are handled on the call — be straight with us and we'll be straight with you.
Privacy & account safety
Your resume, application history, and email integration tokens live in our database under your account. We do not sell, share, or train models on your data. You can export everything from your dashboard at any time.
Optional, not required. When connected, we parse interview-invite and recruiter-reply emails so the dashboard can show you a single source of truth for your pipeline. Read-only OAuth scope; revokable from your Google account in one click.
The applier worker stops the moment you cancel. Historical data stays accessible for 30 days for export, after which it's purged. If you want it gone immediately, email jared@pypes.dev and we'll wipe it the same day.
